Alek
Denslow, fifteen years old, has been taking piano lessons from Vickie
Pautz in Blanco, Texas for 11 years. During that time he has attended
the Heart of Texas Suzuki Organization piano workshops annually, where
he had the opportunity to study under other accomplished pianists, such
as David Renner, Timothy Woolsey, Ralph Harrel, Doris Harrel and Betty
Mallard. His musical interests also extend to other instruments. He has
studied organ in the past with Professor John Schmidt of Texas State University,
and is currently a violin student of Paula Bird.
Alek has played violin with the Starlight Symphony Ochestra for the past
two years. He has been homeschooled all his life, and this year is taking
part of his course load at Austin Community College. His interests include
learning Kung Fu from Sifu Chris Denslow, weight training, reading spy
novels, and chemistry.
Alek would like to thank his whole family for all their love and support:
his sister Erika, for helping him practice all those years even when he
didn't want to, and his parents, for getting him started in music!
